CHARACTERS
Here are some characters From the show and a little bit about them! You'll learn more about these characters and more while watching the show!
Daria Morgendorffer
Daria primarily revolves around Daria's cynical outlook, and how her views evolve throughout the series as the events of the sitcom unfold. Apathetic, intellectual, and witty, Daria is naturally a very anti-social person. Daria's best-known characteristic is her deadpan sarcasm; her usual reaction to almost anything and everyone being a dry, witty remark at their expense. She rarely shows any emotion, and usually appears stand-offish and uncaring most of the time to her peers - which is something that she admittedly welcomes
Jane Lane
Jane, like Daria, is cynical, smart, and sarcastic, although she's more open-minded and well-adjusted. She is also an individualist. She serves as a more outgoing and likable counterpart and foil to Daria's closed-off, combative worldview. Though she can also be sarcastic, she truly does care about Daria and does treasure their friendship.
Quinn Morgendorffer
Quinn is shallow and materialistic, and she offers her time spent with Daria as a service to her parents in exchange for money. She is also quite air-headed, because deep down she's afraid of being labeled as being "a brain." For these reasons, she gives little regard towards academic pursuits. Shes also president of the fashion Club!
Trent Lane
Trent is the older, out of highschool, brother of Jane. In general Trent's behavior is quite laid back, and he speaks with a soft voice. Trent never wears a watch since he's always late, so watches depress him. Despite his laziness, Trent does care about and loves his little sister Jane and often wishes to help her in any way. Hes in the band Mystik Spiral.
Brittany Taylor
The stereotypical rich "popular" cheerleader, Brittany is the second-dumbest kid at Lawndale (the first being her boyfriend Kevin Thompson). She has more than her share of moments of gullibility and is easily distracted, but occasionally shows idiot-savant moments, like when planning a complex and successful paintball tactic. Brittany is never mean on purpose but does show hidden feelings of naΓ―ve self-respect, mostly towards Kevin.
Kevin Thompson
Kevin is the on again off again boyfriend of Brittany. He has an extremely cheery and friendly personality, never showing any malicious intent and is unique for a star quarterback character. In an outcast-centred story he is never shown to be a bully. He generally wanders through life with an oblivious smile. He plays on the football team with Mack.
Tom Sloane
Tom has a casual, easy-going personality, unconcerned with most situations and assuming that things are going to go fine for him in a way that crosses the line into smugness. This is because he was born into a wealthy family.
Jodie Landon
Jodie is an intellectual girl, who has a very bright future. Despite her popularity, she is rather lonely and tries to maintain relationships with outsiders. She is one of the few kids outside Jane who gets Daria's humor and is in turn equally sarcastic when she doesn't feel the need to restrain herself.
Mack Mackenzie
Mack is the only recurring male character who is Daria and Jane's age at Lawndale High who acts with courage, intelligence, and integrity, and as such he enjoys their respect. Subtle references are made in the series to Mack's high intelligence, and his level of self-control is astounding. He plays on the fottball team with Kevin.
